Easter Eggs

I was a little more on top of things this year since I wasn't pregnant. We were actually able to take some time to decorate eggs. We were listening to the morning session of conference and after it was over, we broke out the kits and Daddy helped Hadley while I helped Hayden and Addison took her nap. It worked out great and the kids had lots of fun. The picture has them all shown.
Hayden was kind of funny. He woke up and walked right passed eggs lying around, sat down at the table and started drawing on a piece of paper. Didn't remember it was Easter and was just doing what he loves. It took him a while to figure out what was going on. There was even the baskets sitting right on the table nearby.
Hadley being eager as always, took a little less time discovering the eggs and started collecting any egg she saw instead of the colors the Easter Bunny helper assigned her. She had fun anf found all of her eggs before Hayden did.
Just like Christmas, Addison was yet again on top of things. After I got her ready for the day, it didn't take her long to discover the nearest egg at her eye level. She was excited about it and looked around to check if it was okay. Later, she was crawling around feeling a little left out during the egg hunt and her expressions and frustration showed.
We had grandpa and Matt come over for dinner. I made a spiral ham with cheesy potatoes, rolls, Jello, salad, and rice. It was really tasty.

Since it was conference weekend, Easter Sunday meetings were the week before and I got to teach the CTR 5 class about Easter. It was a lot of fun being able to help the kids remember the true meaning behind Easter and what happened during the very first Easter. I think they knew and understood it really well by the time they were done. One of the boys really appreciated the sentiment behind the opportunity to be with his grandpa again.

That is so funny that Hayden walked right past all of the Easter eggs! He must have been super focused! Were you subbing for the CTR 5 class? That's the class Ben and I teach right now in our ward.
